Top Ten Chosen for First GOP Debate: Trump Included (Televised)  

 

The First GOP Debate will feature the top 10 leading Republican candidates. It will air this Thursday, August 6, 2015 at 9pm EST on Fox News and will last 2 hours. The event will be co-hosted by Facebook. Chris Wallace, host of Fox News Sunday, plans to moderate with well planned questions.

It is no surprise that Donald Trump is the frontrunner. The rest of the candidates appearing in the first GOP debate include Jeb Bush, Scott Walker, Mike Huckabee, Ben Carson, Ted Cruz, Marco Rubio,  Rand Paul, Chris Christie, and John Kasich. 

Not appearing in the first GOP debate: Rick Perry, Rick Santorum, Carly Fiorina, George Pataki, Lindsey Graham, Bobby Jindal, and Jim Gilmore will not appear in this debate, but will be part of a lower tiered secondary, one hour debate at 5pm. 

Fox News chose candidates based on the average of 5 recent national polls in the GOP primary, including polls from Fox News, CBS News, Bloomberg News, Monmouth University, and Quinnipiac University.
